cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars
together in a bowl; beat in eggs.
in a separate bowl, sift flour, baking
powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into butter mixture. put dough in
refrigerator for 1 hour.
roll dough into 1 inch balls and put on
baking sheets. flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross
pattern. bake in a preheated 375 degrees F oven for about 10 minutes
or until cookies begin to brown.
cheesy garlic pasta
ingredients:
1lb/500g dried spaghetti
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
10 garlic cloves (sliced)
1 tbsp red chilli flakes
1/4 cup chopped parsley
steps:
cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted
boiling water per packet minus 1 minute.
heat oil over medium high heat. add garlic
and cook until golden - be careful not to burn it.
combine garlic oil with pasta, cooking
water, parsley, and chilli flakes, serve with parmesan.
hot cocoa
ingredients:
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (depending on how
sweet you like it)
pinch of salt
1 cup milk of choice or any combination of
milk, half-and-half, or cream
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
steps:
whisk together the cocoa, sugar, salt, and
about 2 tablespoons milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat
until cocoa and sugar are dissolved.
whisk in the rest of the milk and heat it
over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until it is hot.
